Alphabetization

When one consults The Chicago Manual of Style, 15th Edition (Chicago, The University of Chicago Press, 2003) chapter 18 "Indexes", § "Alphabetizing", §§ "Personal Names", ¶ 18.69 "Names with particles," one finds a distinct lack of general rules. Reading further, §§ "Foreign Personal Names", ¶ 18.81 "Portuguese names" and ¶ 18.82 "Spanish names" strongly suggest alphabetizing by the proper name, of which the particle "de" is not considered part.

Dragonborn place family name before personal name.

Rizakh place family name before personal name.

Shorvka may have multiple personal names, and do not use family names.

Veiz place family name before personal name.
